KUCHING: Batu Kawa residents will have a 1Malaysia Clinic in their midst soon.

Situated near Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Kawa branch office, the clinic is now under construction and will be in operation in a few months’ time.

This was disclosed to New Sarawak Tribune (NST) senior reporter Connie Chieng by Local Government Minister Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian who visited the site yesterday.

“The Health Ministry which has already approved the setting up of the clinic is funding the project,” said Dr Sim who is also SUPP president.

Dr Sim added that the putting up of the clinic is in fulfillment of one of his many state election promises to Batu Kawa residents.

The clinic to be manned by six staff (two medical officers, two assistant officers and two clerical staff) will operate from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm daily.
