MIRI: Twenty fire extinguishers were presented to three villages within the Telang Usan constituency on Wednesday during a Petronas Sabah-Sarawak Gas Pipeline (SSGP) fire safety programme with the Zone 6 Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).
The three villages were Kampung Long Ikang, Kampung Long Bemang and Kampung Long Kevok.
During the two-day programme which ended on Wednesday, participants were given a talk on evacuation procedures and emergency plans with the aim of raising awareness of fire safety.
Also present were Bomba Zone 6 chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, Marudi fire station chief Maureen Sim, and representatives from Petronas SSGP John Fery Jame and Eric Anderias.
