KUCHING: Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak is offering a 20 pct discount to couples who have their wedding receptions at Majma’ Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Hall here on weekdays.
Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak general manager Datuk Abang Mohd Shibli Abang Mohd Nailie told New Sarawak Tribune this today.
“Majma Hall is only popular during the weekends. We are encouraging the use of the hall on weekdays by non-Muslims and Muslims alike,” he said.
“But of course, for non-Muslims, we will reccommend a Baitulmal caterer so there will be no alcohol or non-halal food,” he added.
The 20 pct discount also applies to members of the government sector and public sector holding events at the hall during the weekdays.
“Majma’ Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Hall, Kuching is the most inquired hall as we have bookings until 2020 and we provide the lowest rate of RM31.90 per head,” added Abang Shibli.
He pointed out that facilities at the hall included PA sound systems and four LED screens.
Abang Shibli was speaking at a press conference after officiating at the launching of Baitulmal Online-Booking Reservation portal and the MajmaCarrom Open 2019 today at Majma Mall.
The aim of the newly launched portal is to enable the public to book the facilities available at Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak online via www.kompleksislamsarawak.com
The launching is also to enable the fund to maintain a database of its clients.
“Once the portal is fully operational, we will extend our services to Sibu and Miri as we also have facilities there,” explaind Abang Shibli.
