KUALA LUMPUR:  A forum geared towards transforming organisations as well as exploring opportunities and innovations was held here on Wednesday (Mar 9).

According to Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence (SCOPE), a total of 120 corporate and public leaders physically attended The Digital Leadership Forum while 100 attended virtually via online platform.

Themed ‘Driving Business in Pandemic Times’, the forum took place at Khazanah Auditorium Asia School of Business (ASB) in Kuala Lumpur and it was marked as the inaugural of government-linked corporations (GLC) Leadership Forum.

The forum was organised by SCOPE in collaboration with the Sarawak Financial Secretary’s Office and ASB.

“The programme aimed to explore opportunities, innovations and ideas to propel and transform organisations in Sarawak towards higher growth and profitability as well as embracing the stewardship strategies on how these companies can further contribute towards the socioeconomic advancement of Sarawak.

“This is in line with the Post Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 that was launched in July last year by Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg,” it said in a statement on Thursday.

SCOPE noted that the event featured an impressive line-up of speakers, including founder of Naluri, Azran Osman-Rani; founding president and dean of ASB Professor Charles Fine; CEO of Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) Dzuleira Abu Bakar and expert member of the Global Partnership on AI, Dr Inma Martinez.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas officiated at the opening of the forum on behalf of Abang Johari.

Also present were co-chair of Board of Governors of ASB Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz; SCOPE CEO Dr Asleena Datuk Helmi; Deputy State Secretary (Performance and Service Delivery Transformation) Datuk Dr Sabariah Putit; State Financial Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar and senior associate dean of ASB Prof Loredana Parudean.
