KOTA SAMARAHAN: A total of 200 students from 46 primary schools within the constituency have received aid in the form of school supplies under the P197 Prihatin ‘Back to School’ Programme held at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Kota Samarahan here on Sunday.

The contribution, including bags and school stationery, was extended by the Kota Samarahan Parliamentary Service Centre in collaboration with Yayasan Pelajaran MARA (YPM) aimed at assisting students from less privileged backgrounds.

Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang said the main objective of this programme was to provide financial assistance and school equipment to students to prevent them from lagging behind in their learning sessions.

“For the year 2024, a total of 200 students from 46 primary schools within the Kota Samarahan constituency have been selected to receive the ‘Back to School’ aid.

“These students are selected from families with limited means and from the B40 group in the Asajaya, Samarahan, Serian, Siburan, and Kuching districts,” she said during the programme here.
