KUCHING: 21 companies in Sarawak have successfully completed their respective system development programmes in 2017 until March this year.

To commemorate this achievement, a ‘graduation ceremony’ was held at Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sarawak here yesterday.

The Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who was represented by Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, was present during the ceremony.

“These system development programmes are an important step in the Business Excellence Journey and I hope this will bring organisations and companies in Sarawak towards a higher level,” he said.

He also expressed his support towards MPC Sarawak for the event which aims to acknowledge the efforts done by organisations and to empower organisational capabilities.

“The state government wants to see more organisations from Sarawak participate in these programmes by the MPC such as ‘5S’, ‘Lean Management’, and ‘Business Excellence’.

“Therefore, I urge organisations in Sarawak to benefit from these programmes organised by MPC Sarawak,” he said.
