KUCHING: The number of COVID-19 cases in Sarawak increased to 21 compared to the previous day’s 17 cases, taking the total number of cases to 252,861.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily update yesterday said the number of cases in category 1 was seven, and there were 14 cases in category 2.
“Of the 21 cases, Kuching had the most with seven, followed by Miri with six and Sibu with three.
Kanowit only recorded two cases, while Kapit, Samarahan and Subis, had one case each.
The number of persons under surveillance yesterday was nine, and 160 people are still under quarantine.
SDMC also stated that the total number of persons under surveillance discharged from quarantine was 165,770.
