SIBU: 210 Armed Forces Family Welfare Body (BAKAT) members took part in a Mega Wisma Training Centre (WWTC) programme held at Rascom Camp, Mile 10, Jalan Oya Lama yesterday.

Minister of Welfare, Women, and Community Wellbeing, Datuk Fatimah Abdullah said that the programme which was introduced in 2015 aimed to provide training opportunities for the women outside Kuching. She said the State Family and Women Department (JWKS) had taken the initiative of organising courses based on the needs of the local women.

The two-day prog ramme included activities such as basic make-up course and a cake decorating course, taught by staff of Rafflesia Wellness Sdn Bhd, Kemas and JWKS brought from Kuching. Ninth Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier-General Dato’ Dzulkafli Mustaffa and wife, Datin Norziati Othman, Chairlady of 1 Divi s ion BAKAT, Dat i n Jacqueline Peris and Chairlady of the 31st Brigade BAKAT, Datin Sarimah Mohad Sahalan were among those present.
