MUKAH: A total of 2,195 people in Mukah received 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M) for phase one involving an allocation of RM2.1 million yesterday.
From the total recipients, 1,489 are from the category of household income of RM3,000 and below, 12 people with a household income of RM3,001 to RM4,000, and 694 people are individuals who have an income of RM2,000 and below.
Tellian State Assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo represented Mukah Member of Parliament Dato Sri Dr. Muhammad Leo Toyad in presenting the vouchers to the recipiemts at the Civic Centre here.
Mukah District Officer Shafrie Saili in his welcoming speech earlier said 500 people were invited to receive the BR1M vouchers yesterday.
He said the BR1M recipients who were not invited go come to Mukah District Office to pick up their vouchers starting Monday, March 27, 2017.
Also present were Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Sibu branch officer Mohd Sharif Mohd Merah and Mukah district Temenggong Hendi Suhai.
