KUCHING: A total of 23 projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) have been proposed for implementation in Kalaka next year.
Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri said this was a continuation of the development agenda that the people have been hoping for all this time.
“This year has seen four completed RTP projects with most of the rest being implemented…all have started.
“For next year, there are 23 more project proposals submitted that will improve the landscape of Kalaka,” he said after inspecting the construction site of the covered walkway at SJKC Min Syn.
He explained that one of the focuses next year was to improve the drainage system as well as the alleyways in all the villages in the constituency.
“In addition to upgrading school infrastructure, we also pay attention to sports infrastructure.
“I hope that all plans can be implemented with the cooperation of all agencies and contractors involved.”
Regarding the construction of the covered walkway, Mohamad stated that it involved SJKC Min Syn and SK Abang Abdul Rahman.
He reiterated the call for all contractors to be committed in their work. “Remember, we all work for the people and the funds invested are not small.”
“So, we must understand that every project that is being implemented, execute according to specifications and complete them within the scheduled period.
“If any issue arises, immediately contact the implementing agency or representative of the people to avoid sick or late projects, or those that veer off the original specifications,” Mohamad added.
