KUCHING: Some 235 1 Malaysia Community (K1M) in the state wi l l have i t s own Facebook account to enable it to share information and channel problems in their respective areas immediately. Director of State Information Depar tment , Abang Sardon Abang Hashim said K1M members apart from communmity leaders and influencial government pensioners will also help to convey information and build postive perception of the people towards the government‘s policies.
“This group has been fighting and cooperating to channel information and influence the minds and perception of the public toward the government policies to ensure the public understand programmes implemented by the governmnet,“ Abang Sardon said at a Majlis Jalinan Kasih in conjunction with Strategic Partners prograame for Santubong and Petra Jaya Parliamentary const i tuencies organised by the State Information Department’s Kuching, Serian and Samarahan Division Offices.
He also thanked K1M for the cooperation and support given to activities organised by the department. Dur ing the e vent , Abang Sardon also presented souvenirs to 21 retirees of the department in appreciation of their dedication and services to the department.
Also present were Deput y Director of State Information Department, Ali Suhaili, Assistant Di re c tor (Communications Service and Community Development ) Ajes Tuah, Information Officer of Kuching, Serian and Samarahn Divisions, Normala Juantan, Temenggong Helmi Mohd Gol and community leaders.
