KUCHING: A total of 237 participants attended the Dayak Chair Seminar held virtually by the Institute of Borneo Studies, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas).
The said seminar entitled ‘Adat Pati Nyawa’ is a presentation of Iban customs delivered by Dr Marina Rona who heads the Legal Department, Secretariat of Sanggau Regency in West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
“The seminar is also a platform for researchers to share the findings of research, especially on the Dayak tribal community and will be continued in the future subject to the appropriate space and time,” said Unimas spokesperson.
Also present was the Institute of Dayacology executive director Krissusandi Gunui’ and was moderated by the incumbent of the Dayak Chair Professor Dr Spencer Empading Sanggin.
In addition, it was also attended by the Sarawak Council for Native Customs and Traditions as well as government agencies, private companies and individuals.
