SERIAN: A total of 24 recipients in the Kedup constituency received Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants totalling RM185,000 here today (June 20).
The recipients include government department associations and clubs, Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK), Women’s Bureaus, Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS), and Parent-Teacher Associations (PIBG).
Deputy Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Datuk Martin Ben said that the funds allocated for projects by the Sarawak government must be used with integrity.
“The funds must be spent wisely in line with the approved proposals,” he stressed.
He said this in his speech at the cheque presentation ceremony for the MRP Projects Series 3/2024 Kedup.
The Kedup assemblyman hopes that the allocations will benefit associations and communities.
“Whether for carrying out small projects, assisting in management needs, or organising activities,” he added.
Also present was Tebedu District Officer Joseph Liaw.
