241 asnaf individuals receive aid

SARIKEI: The spirit of giving flourished as 241 individuals received generous donations totalling RM12,050.
 
The donations, provided by the Kuala Rajang Islamic Welfare Trust Board (LAKIKR) and the Kuala Rajang branch Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) service centre, brought relief and joy to the recipients.
 
Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh personally handed over the donations to asnaf recipients, senior citizens, and single mothers during the Kuala Rajang Ramadan Outreach Programme yesterday (Mar 20).
 
In a show of support for local religious institutions, he also presented RM2,000 to the Al Ansar Selalang Mosque and RM1,000 to the Nurul Falah Selalang Surau.
 
These contributions, said Len, will help facilitate their annual activities and further strengthen community ties.
 
Expressing his hopes for the donations to make a meaningful impact, he stressed the importance of lending a helping hand to those in need.
 
The event also saw a heartwarming gesture as Len, who serves as Kuala Rajang assemblyman, broke fast with the residents of Kampung Selalang, fostering a sense of unity and compassion among the community members.
