KUCHING: A total of 25 local companies, professionals and experts from different industries here are attending the Sarawak Export Excellence (S.E.E.D) Workshop 2022 from Oct 25 to 28.
The workshop is organised by the state Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investments.
Its objective is to empower local businesses in building a Sarawak brand to export and penetrate into the international market, and the topics that will be covered include Business Trends and Market Research, Crystallising Business Core and Positioning, Export and Import Compliance, and Business Leadership.
Furthermore, it aims to increase local businesses’ awareness of international trade by understanding import and export requirements, being able to assess the readiness of their businesses as well as ensuring they are comparable with the standards of investment brands.
The programme is also designed to empower local businesses with knowledge skills, packaging, certification, logistics, and other relevant knowledge in order to successfully export their products.
One of the trainer Marcus Teoh, a marketing strategist, best-selling author and international speaker said, “I aim to start the spark that leads Sarawak’s brand owners to succeed in having every tourist visiting Malaysia to bring back at least one Sarawak made product followed by a strong international presence.”
