KUCHING: A total of 29 food stalls at the Kuching Festival Food Fair 2018 were balloted out to give opportunity to the other food operators.
The balloting session was held yesterday at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) headquarters, whereby one Muslim stall and 28 Chinese stalls were balloted out for this year’s festival.
The 29 stalls are (stall number according to last year’s) 203B, 2, 51, 55A, 56B, 65B, 68, 70B, 125B, 131A, 136B, 141, 180, 184A, 184B, 188B, 189A, 194A, 196, 211A, 212B, 216A, 217B, 219A, 223A, 235B, 237B, 240A, and 243B. Last year, there were a total of 315 stalls, whereby 14 food stalls were blacklisted.
Therefore, food stalls are available and new applicants interested to take them up are invited to apply for a space at this year’s Kuching Festival Food Fair, to be held from July 27 to Aug 19 at the compounds of Dewan Masyarakat MBKS.
Application forms are obtainable at the Ground Floor of One Stop Service Counter D, MBKS, Padungan Road and completed application forms must be returned to the same office on or before 4pm, June 7 (Thursday). Late applications will not be entertained.
