KAPIT: The second Pesta Dabai Song will be held in Song District tentatively from March 6-8 this year. It is organised by Kapit District Council (KDC) in collaboration with various government agencies in Song District.

The first Pesta Dabai in Song was held from December 14-16 in 2018.

Walikota of the council, Lating Minggang Chairing chaired the final committee meeting on the event at the conference room of Kapit District Council Song Branch Office recently.

He said the council  decided to organise the Pesta Dabai (Dabai Fest) in Song again as the district is well-known for the best quality ‘dabai’  in the state and that public response to the first Song Dabai Fest held in December 2018 had been very encouraging.

“Song is a district under Kapit Division. Lating hoped the fest could help to bring Song town to life.

He called on the local community in Song to fully grab the opportunity to exhibit their best ‘dabai’ and market the fruit during the event.
