KUALA LUMPUR: Over 200,000 visitors attended the Two Years of MADANI Government Programme (2TM) and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) that kicked off on Friday.
In a statement, the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU) announced that the programme, held from 9 am to 6 pm, drew a total of 85,217 visitors on the first day.
“As of 6 pm today (Saturday), the total number of visitors has reached 117,912, bringing the overall total to 203,129 visitors over the two days of the programme,” according to PACU.
It was reported that the government had aimed for over 230,000 visitors to attend the event, which will end today.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who attended the event yesterday, visited several booths and interacted with the visitors.
During a town hall session, Anwar shared the achievements and initiatives of the MADANI government under his leadership.
Among the highlights of the event, themed ‘MADANI di Hati, Rakyat Disantuni’ was the offer of discounts of up to 60 per cent on traffic summonses from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), as well as helmet exchanges and the MADANI Rahmah Sale, offering essential items at prices lower than the market rate. – Bernama
