MIRI: Police have detained three Indonesians during a raid in a rented room in Batu Niah at 2.45am yesterday on the suspicion of drug trafficking.

Miri Police chief, ACP Khoo Leng Huat said the suspects comprised two men and a woman, aged between 24 and 42.

“Also seized during raid were 14 small plastic packets containing syabu weighing 39 grammes and worth RM7,800 as well as a digital weighing scale,” he said in a statement here yesterday.

He said urine screening found one of the suspects, a 24-year-old man positive for amphetamine.

The case was investigated under Section 39 A(2) and 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
