MUKAH: Three individuals sustained injuries while a girl was unharmed in a terrifying accident at Jambatan Kuning (Batang Mukah Bridge), Jalan Mukah-Balingian here, yesterday.

The accident involving two vehicles – a Proton Saga and a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) Vellfire – occurred around 11.40am when both were travelling in opposite direction.

Mukah police chief DSP Muhammad Rizal Alias in a statement said the Saga, on its way from Balingian to Mukah Hospital, had slipped and swerved into the oncoming lane before colliding with the MPV.

The crash injured three persons in the Saga, including the 36-year-old driver, a 28-year-old male passenger and a 21-year-old female passenger.

They were all whisked away to Mukah Hospital for further treatment.

He added the 56-year-old MPV driver and another Saga passenger, a two-year-old child, were unharmed in the incident.

The case is being investigated under Rule 10 LN166/59.
