MIRI: The General Operations Force (GOF) Miri on Thursday hosted 30 orphans to a breaking-of-fast event held at Batallion 12 headquarters here.
The children were from the Hamidah Yakup Welfare Complex. At the event, State GOF commander SAC Datuk Khaw Kok Chin and Miri GOF commanding officer Supt Tan Hiap Seng presented the children with festive goodies and duit raya.
Besides that, GOF Miri also contributed some household items to the complex. Also present was Miri GOF deputy commanding officer DSP Uchong Sigan.
The event was part of GOF Miri annual activities and initiatives to bring joy to underprivileged children during the fasting month.
