MIRI: ‘Mansang Anak Sarawak’ by Sarawak Volunteers successfully gathered a total 30 Sarawakian students of public higher learning institutions (IPTA) nationwide.

The three-day programme held at Jati Diri Farmstay in Bekenu since Friday aims to expose participants on the country’s latest policies, besides cultivating their talent and enhancing networking with one another.

Amongst those attendees were federal Deputy Minister of Rural Development Datuk Hasbi Habibollah cum Limbang Member of Parliament (MP) and Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni.

Lukanisman, in his opening remarks during a session with the participants, lauded the event as he believed it helped to grooms future leaders of Sarawak.

“Current leaders play a crucial role to help in developing our younger generation talent in leaderships to close the gaps and prepare for the future,” he said on Saturday.

Established in 2018, Sarawak Volunteers is a youth volunteering platform that was formed in 2018.

Among other initiatives carried out by Sarawak Volunteers with the support of Sarawak government are Graduan Pulang Sarawak (i-GPS), Anak Sarawak welfare initiative (1-KAS) and Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (LBAS).
