KUCHING: The Borneo International Water and Wastewater Exhibition and Conference (BIWWEC) to be held on Oct 17-19 here will be launched by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Director of Rural Water Supply Department cum organising chairman of BIWWEC 2022 Chang Kuet Shian said it will carry the theme “Sustainability and Resilience Through Smart Technology and Innovation.”
“We are proud to be Sarawak’s only international congregation of water and wastewater experts and we look forward to work on active solution and synergistic efforts to overcome challenges of water and wastewater needs in Borneo,” he said.
He said an estimated 300 local and international delegates were expected to attend the conference.
Organised by the Malaysian Water Association (MWA) Sarawak branch, the conference and exhibition will feature 30 Malaysians and international speakers and 40 exhibitors comprising professionals in the area of water, wastewater and relevant industries.
