The competition offers five age groups, namely Boys and Girls Under eight, Under-10,Under-12, Under-14, and Under-17.

KASA president Kelvin Yeo said the majority of the swimmers are still catching up with their training after the two-year pandemic.
“I hope the swimmers get good results, because it has been two years since the movement control order (MCO).
“So, the swimmers have not had much training, and most of the swimmers are still catching up,” he told reporters today.
Yeo pointed out that the swimming championship is an opportunity for the swimmers to participate in the Malaysia Invitational Age Group (MIAG) which will be held in Kuala Lumpur next month, adding that selections for the MIAG will be based on the timings and results of their qualifying time.
“If the swimmers can achieve the qualifying times, regardless of their position and as long as they have hit the targeted time, then they will be selected,” he said.
The closing ceremony of the championship on Sunday will be attended by Amateur Swimming Association Sarawak (ASAS) president Datuk Wee Hong Seng who is also the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor.
