BALINGIAN: A total of 32 longhouses with 353 recipients in the Temesu and Bayan Ulu areas of the Balingian constituency have been given food aid.
Last Saturday, a source from the Balingian Constituency Service Centre said the food aid was channelled through the Bayan Ulu multi-purpose hall for subsequent distribution to the longhouses.
He said there were about 5,213 households in the constituency, and subsequent food distribution would be carried out in stages as supply was still on the way.
“As soon we receive the supply from the wholesaler, distribution will be continued in other areas,” he added.
