SIBU: A blood donation campaign organised by the Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) Sports & Social Club today (Oct 25) saw 35 individuals successfully donating their blood.
The event which began at 9 am till 1 pm was held at SMC’s premises.

Out of the 42 persons who registered for the blood donation, seven of them were rejected due to various health reasons.
According to the Club’s vice president, Normawati Hossen, the campaign, with the theme, ‘Save a life, save the loved one’ is aimed to replenish the blood stock at the Sibu General Hospital’s blood bank.
“It is also part of the club’s activities for the year,” she said.
