359 students receive first shots

TEBUDU: A total of 359 students in the division received their first COVID-19 vaccine shots through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) at SK Tebedu here today.

Programme coordinator Dr Shamira Muhammad Radzi said students aged five to 11 years old who received the Pfizer vaccine are accompanied by their parents or guardians.

The students are from four schools, namely,  SK Tebedu (215), SK Sungan (43), SK Tepoi (55) and SK Sejijag (46).

Meanwhile, a mother of vaccine recipients, Mariana Thomas supported the initiative to hold a vaccination program that meets the needs and current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 PICKids will resume at SK Kujang Mawang on Feb 18.
