LUNDU: A total of 36 owners of Rumah Spektra Permata (RSP) Lundu and Sematan attended drawing of lots ceremonies on Monday (Sept 27).
The drawing of lots for RSP Lundu was held in the morning at Lundu District Office while the one for RSP Sematan was held in the afternoon at Sematan Sub-District Office.
Both ceremonies were witnessed by officers from Lundu District Office and Sematan Sub-District Office, Housing Development Corporation (HDC), and Mutiara Mortgage & Credit Sdn Bhd.
HDC Sarawak in a statement noted that on July 14, the handing over of RSP Lundu and Sematan house offer letters had been held virtually, witnessed by Tanjung Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu.
“RSP Lundu and Sematan was first announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg on Feb 15, 2017 in Lundu.”
HDC Sarawak explained that RSP is a housing programme under the Sarawak government, through HDC and the Land and Survey Department (JTS) Sarawak, to help those from the low-income (B40) and middle-income (M40) groups own a house.
RSP Lundu is located 1.5km from Lundu Town. Built under the Kampung Lundu Expansion Scheme, 26 units of RSP were completed in August last year.
Meanwhile, RSP Sematan is located 2km from Sematan Town. Twenty-five units of houses were built under the Kampung Sematan Expansion Scheme and these were completed in October last year.
Both types of houses are built on stilts with a floor area of 820 square feet. The estimated land area is 500 square metres for each house unit.
