DEBAK: Saribas Assemblyman Ricky@Mohammad Razi Sitam distributed a total of RM185,000 under the Minor Rural Project (MRP) fund to 37 Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) under his consituency. The presentation ceremony was held yesterday at the Dewan Perpaduan here, after the launching of the JKKK Worshop.
Saribas constituency has 37 JKKKs, out of which 22 are Malay JKKKs, 14 Iban and one Chinese. Each received RM5,000 to finance their activities. Razi said there might be some changes and restructuring of the administrative system for the Saribas consituency, particularly involving the Penghulu’s post. “I hope those selected for the post will be ready.
The list has already been approved by the Betong Resident and District Office. “We are just waiting for the final approval from the State Secretary,” he said.
