MUKAH: A total of 37 students from the Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS) Mukah attended a cyber security course at Mukah Polytechnic (PMU) recently.
The ‘CyberSecurity’ Computer System Operation Course was held at the polytechnic’s Department of Information Technology and Communication (JTMK).
The course was organised by the department in collaboration with the Advanced Training and Education Unit (ULPL).
Mukah Polytechnic in a statement said the course is among the lifelong learning programmes implemented by JTMK for 2024, serving as an active collaboration with PPKS.
“The objective is to explain the basic concepts and objectives of cyber security and to elaborate on cyber security threats, weaknesses, and attacks.
“In addition, it also teaches participants on preventive methods to counteract cyber security attacks and deepen their understanding about cyber security,” the statement said.
The course was also attended by two PPKS training officers, Elizabeth David Nik and Aziff Aizuddin Mohamad Mortaza.
