KANOWIT: A total of 3,896 households or about 300 longhouses under Ngemah state constituency have received food assistance since Jan 22 until now.
According to Ngemah assemblyman Alexander Vincent, the assistance, which was given in stages, was a collaborative effort of the Sibu Resident’s Office and Kanowit District Office.
“Thank you to all who have been involved either directly or indirectly in delivering this assistance to all the people under the Ngemah state constituency.
“To the residents who have not received this food aid, it is hoped that you will be patient waiting for your turn as the distribution of this aid will continue throughout the movement control order (MCO).
“Therefore, let us together continue to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs), adopt new norm practices and just stay at home to break the Covid-19 chain,” he said when contacted today.
