40 pupils in Baleh benefit from Sabati’s school aid

KAPIT: Some 40 Primary One to Primary Six pupils in four primary schools in Baleh have benefited from RM5,000 in school aid from Sabati (Association of Wives of State Ministers, Assistant Ministers and State Assemblyman).

Each pupil was given a voucher for RM125. Those eligible for the aid were from low income families in rural longhouses and studying at SK Lubok Mawang (10 pupils), SK Nanga Oyan Kapit (10 pupils), SK Nanga Meluan (10 pupils) and SK Sungai Paku (10 pupils).

The ones from SK Nanga Oyan were Alex Ting Zhi Leong, Flyshiana Munin, Christine Grace Awie, Wilson Berasap Joseph, Angeline Luly Mindang, Yohanes Undi, Albert Vincent Alice, Chelsea John, Nyagap William and Zulkifli Abdullah.

Those from SK Nanga Meluan were Genevieduy Christopher, Natasha Inam Linda, Monalisa Munah Benedict, Ezpryina Aleesya Bella Nabau, Gabriel Keleka Nabau Jenol, Fleisha Elcy Sinak Winston, Carina Amelia Liam, Angelia Syalza Tino, Ermylinda Injau Uya and Richmond Riverlino Unggam Saing.

From SK Sungai Paku were Veronica Vanessa John, Fatresia Samuel, Elizabert Ong Meng Chin, GraciaAk Naja, Astarina Nanyang, Dashinstha Sqistina Delly, Eyara Kennedy, Nicholas Boy Masam, Alex Damu Nuing Josh and Edwin Milang Robert.

Those from SK Lubok Mawang were Christian Faddelyn Kennedy, Eon Nyayang Baja, Junaid Khan Abdullah, Ezlynnie Jimmy, Monica Midong Malik, Jesrina Talun Jalin, Valyncia Andrea Jo, Sopia Janggu, Andiana Muluk Lannie and Mainie Ampa Meling.

The aid were presented to the pupils by Sabati member, Puan Sri Corrine Masing, the wife of Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Jemut Masing.

Among the dignitaries who attended the function were Masing himself, Hulu Rajang Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong, Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang, Ngemah assemblyman Alexander Vincent, Murum assemblyman Kennedy Chuk Pai Ugon, Deputy State Secretary Datuk Jaul Samion, Kapit Resident Joseph Belayong Punan, Deputy Resident Galong Luang, political secretaries to the Chief Minister, Nicholas Kudi Jantai and Edwin Banta;  Bukit Mabong District Officer Douglas Pungga, Pemanca Steward Sawing, heads of various government departments, councillors, and some 400 longhouse people.
