KOTA SAMARAHAN: The public are invited to the 18th Mini Film Festival ‘Duduk and Tonton 3’ today from 4pm to 6pm at Saradise Feast in Saradise Kuching.

The film screening and festival are curated by film lecturer Chong Lee Yow, in collaboration with organising students and lecturers of the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas).

“In life, we inevitably face certain life and death situations, which seemingly serve as a stark contrast for all of us.

“While the former brings joy and celebration, the latter evokes fear and pain,” a statement said.

The statement added that consequently, people were more likely to accept life than death. “However, it is because of death that life becomes finite.”

“Only then do people appreciate the good life around them,” it added.

According to the statement, four films would be screened, namely Hembus by Anel Sahfihie, Kelinguh (Echo) by Jeremy Jecky, Setting Moon by Chan Teik Quan and Ayah, Mari Menari directed by Izaq Yuzaini.
