BINTULU: An anticipated total of 4,000 participants will gather at a longhouse headed by Councillor Robert Tugong, near Suai Bridge in conjunction with Jerayawara Sarawak Parties Coalition (GPS) Zone 12 which is scheduled on this June 22.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to officiate the ceremony.

GPS secretary Zone 12, who is also Samalaju assemblyman Majang Renggi said the date and venue of the programme was approved in a meeting held on March 2.

Majang also said that the meeting was first held by the GPS main committee in Zone 12 which was chaired by Bintulu Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing at the Hotel Park City Everly, on Sunday.

The Zone 12 also includes six other areas namely Jepak, Kemena, Tanjung Batu, Samalaju, Murum and Belaga.

The first meeting conducted by GPS Main Committee Zone 12 on Sunday also discussed on the preparation and the establishment of the working committee of Jerayawara GPS Zone 12.

The event was attended by Utilities Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Stephen Rundi Utom, Majang Renggi, PBB division head Haidar Khan Asghar Khan and SUPP Bintulu chairman  Johnny Phang Lung Ming. – Sarawak Voice
