SAMARAHAN: A total of 41 primary schools in the district have received their micro rero-robot kits.
Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Roland Sagah said this is part of efforts in conjunction with the Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0).
“Not only that, it would provide chance and space to increase interest among students on how important the technologies are, especially in the current climate.
“It is also important that they are knowledgeable on methods related to digitalisation, computerisation, artificial intelligence, and other technologies as well,” he said.
He said this at a press conference after officiating the programme at Tun Abdul Razak Teacher Education Institution (IPGKTAR) in Kota Samarahan on Monday (September 19).
He added that the programme is also important because using robotic systems could bring students towards more creative learning.
“The step that is being taken is truly meaningful in providing high quality education so that we raise outstanding, competitive and competent human capital, thus all the students from this generation would be able to stand on their own in future,” he added.
Sagah added that as IR 4.0 is developing fast around the world, the people must act quickly, in line with the development of high quality technological products and smart automation systems.
“This is to ensure the country remains competitive and able to face the challenges and changes in the near future,” he said.
