MIRI: About 100 villagers from 42-door Long Jegan Atas B, Baram, are unable to go to town because road leading to the village is under water.
Non-stop heavy rain for the past three days inundated the road and cut access.
According to Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, at its deepest, the road is six feet under water.
Meanwhile, three primary schools in Baram were reportedly flooded.
Villagers said water was still rising in Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Long Miri (69 pupils), SK Long Jegan (112 pupils) and SK Long Teran Kanan (93 pupils) as of past noon yesterday.
