SIMANGGANG: A total of 42 students from preschool to lower secondary level in the Simanggang area have received special aid in the form of vouchers for school uniforms and school bags.
Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis was present to hand over the assistance which was organised by the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Youth Simanggang branch in conjunction with the Back to School Programme here, recently.
In the news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), Harden expressed his hope that the assistance can help to ease the burden of parents and guardians in buying uniforms and school equipment ahead of the new school session.
Besides that, Harden who is the Simanggang assemblyman reminded parents and guardians to encourage their children to have revisions and complete the assigned homework for their respective subjects in school.
Also present were SUPP Youth Simanggang branch chairman Wong Yii Hong, Kapitan Goh Teo Soon and Kapitan Ling Siew Hung.
