4,220 JKKK members to attend community policing programmes

DALAT: Some 4,220 members of the Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) in Mukah Division have been and will be attending community policing programmes in the respective districts this month and next month.

Mukah Division Resident Hamdiah Bakir said Mukah Division had a total of 339 JKKKs.

She said of the total, 191 were in Mukah District, 55 in Dalat District, 35 in Matu District, 46 in Daro District and 12 in Tanjung Manis District.  

“Every JKKK must ensure that it has a proper village profile which  must be updated from time to time,” she said at the launch of Community Policing Mukah Division programme at Stadium Perpaduan Dalat here yesterday.

Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister and Dalat assemblywoman Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah launched the event.

Hamdiah said the first series of the programme was held here on Aug 15, and subsequent series would follow suit.
