BINTULU: A two-day operation here aimed at detecting and detaining migrants without valid documents resulted in the arrest of 46 individuals of various foreign nationalities.
The Sarawak Immigration Department said the raids from Mar 22 to 23 targeted 16 hotspots with illegal foreigners.

In operations codenamed ‘Ops Selera’, ‘Ops Kutip’, ‘Ops Sapu’, and ‘Ops Mahir’, 107 individuals were checked and 46 of them were arrested for immigration-related offences.
The foreign detainees were arrested under the Immigration Act 1959/63 for overstaying, misuse of passes, and lack of valid travel documents.
