KUCHING: Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department will sanitise 46 schools in Bau after the SOPs for school resumption are announced.
“We have received a lot of applications from schools for sanitation work,” said Kuching zone fire chief, Senior Superintendent Henderi Ardimansyah when met by New Sarawak Tribune on Wednesday after the handing over of sanitisation equipment and utensil donated by Puncak Borneo MP Willie Mongin.
Pointing out the department’s shortage of manpower for the sanitation work, Henderi advised premises owners to do their disinfection work according to the guidelines provided by the department.
He stressed that premises should be disinfected constantly to provide a sense of security and safety to the public.
“The sanitation work will be facilitated by our department,” he said.
Henderi added that as of June 9, 79 sanitation operations had been carried out in Bau district.
“52 nurseries and childcare centres in Bau have been sanitised by the department in Bau,” he added.
