MIRI: A four-wheel drive vehicle was burned in an incident at Jalan Miri-Bypass, near Eastwood Valley Industrial Park in Miri early morning yesterday.
In the 2.00am incident, the driver of the car was luckily not injured.
Miri Zone Fire and Rescue Department head said a machinery and Emergency Medical Services Unit (EMRS) with seven firefighters from Lopeng Fire and Rescue Station were rushed to the scene after receiving the emergency call.
“When arrived at the scene, aToyota Hilux’s car was still on fire.
“The incident resulted in the car being 90 per cent damaged and the operation ended at 2.40 am,” he said in a statement here.
He said the cause of the fire and the amount of loss was still under investigation.
