JAKARTA: An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale rocked north-eastern Papua in Indonesia today, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency.
It said the quake, with its epicentre 71km north-east of Yalimo, Papua, occurred at 12.32 pm (1.32 pm Malaysian time).
The agency said tremors were felt in north-eastern Papua and Wamena.
It said the quake did not trigger any tsunami.
So far, there have been no reports of any injury or damage, it added. – Bernama
