MUKAH: Fifty boys were circumcised yesterday during the Sunaton Khatan Jama’ie programme organised by Masjid Setia Raja Mukah.

The mosque’s chairman Ismail Mawi said his party collaborated with Persatuan Kebajikan Islam Perubatan (Perkip) of Mukah Hospital for the programme in conjunction with the school holidays.

“Now is the perfect time for the children to be circumcised before they go back to school,” he said.

The boys gathered at the mosque’s compound where they took part in the bersiram ceremony by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).

Afterwards, the children, accompanied by their parents and guardians, were brought to Mukah Hospital for the circumcision ceremony.
