MUKAH: Some 50 youth took part in an interactive session by Owl and Badger Research PLT at Mukah Civic Centre today.
After the success of the ‘Rukun Negara: Do You(th) Think It’s Important?’ programme in Kuching, Miri and Bintulu, Owl & Badger decided to expand the programme to the youth in Mukah to express their opinions and thoughts on various issues in regards to the Rukun Negara.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo, who officiated at the event, thanked the organisers for conducting the programme and approaching the youth of Mukah as it is very rare for this kind of activity to be held in the area.
Meanwhile, a representative of Federation of Melanau Association of Sarawak, Royston Valentine, who was one of the supporters of the programme, was very happy with the response by the youth to the activities that were held during the programme.
“We welcome more events such as this one in the future as it is an opportunity to network with youth beyond Mukah,” he said.
The session was divided into various parts, including a live polling session through mobile phones and a section dedicated to audience participation in an open discussion session, all while observing the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Also present was Owl & Badger Research managing partner Deborah Dris.
