MUKAH: About 500 students and visitors thronged a Career and Education Open Day organised by the District Education Office and SMK Three Rivers here.
Yayasan Sarawak gave a talk on sponsorship opportunities following the launching ceremony attended by Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine yesterday.
Royston later handed over contributions for the Mukah STEM Carnival and also to students heading for university before visiting the exhibition site at the grounds of the District Education Office.
A total of 17 agencies such as Sarawak University of Technology, Laila Taib College, Centexs, Sarawak Skills, Sarawak Foundation, GiatMara, UiTM, Bank Rakyat, MBSB, Maybank, Bank Simpanan National, Mukah Polytechnic, PDRM Mukah Division, Fire Department, National Unity Department, Anti-Drug Agency and District Health Office were involved in the exhibition yesterday.
Also present was the Chairman of the Council of District Principals Sylvester William, Chairman of the Council of Headmasters of Mukah Borhannudin Kaderi, school principals, headmasters, teachers and staff of the District Education Department.
