The 51st Battalion of the Territorial Army (REJ 510 TA) orchestrated a ceremonial handover of the Bot Rentap at the Kem Sri Rejang Parade Ground in Sibu recently.
In an official statement from Politeknik Mukah (PMU), it was disclosed that a notable officer from PMU was accorded a commendable promotion during the proceedings.
“The honoree, none other than Ambrose Entawan Brauh, now attains the rank of Lance Corporal (L/Cpl),” the statement said on today (Aug 10).
“The event unfurled in grandeur as a parade took centre stage at the Kem Sri Rejang Parade Ground. Six regular officers and volunteer officers, along with 45 regular and volunteer members, congregated in accordance with the official announcement.”
The opening salvo was a salute extended to the commander REJ 510 TA, heralding the initiation of the ceremony. This ceremonial gesture was followed by the pivotal symbolic transfer of the revered Bot Rentap.
Furthermore, the symbolic handover was made possible through the contribution of Sing Kiong Hong Dockyard director, Major (K) Datuk David Ling Kiong Hua.
The formal proceedings were graced with the presence of REJ 510 TA commander, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki. Among the highlights was the promotion of three volunteer members.
