KUCHING: Well-established companies from the United States of America (USA) and elsewhere around the world representing world-renowned brands of products should be able to come to Sarawak not only to sell their products but to actually educate the people on the safety, reliability, sustainability and productivity of their products and so on.
Minister for Utilities, Datuk Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom said that whether they were in the oil and gas, water business or whatever capacity and status, the best practices in efficiency and of course safety in the workplace, productivity, reliability and so on have to be inculcated.
“But all these do not come just like that. It has to start from a very young age, from schools and so on.
“I believe no matter how small you are, you need to be persistent so that your workers will be safe, productive, reliable, sustainable in their business dealings and so on,” he added during the launching of Global Industrial Brands Seminar on Best Practices in Industrial Safety and Productivity at Pullman Hotel here yesterday.
