MIRI: Pustaka Negeri Sarawak Miri will be organising a “Digital Inclusivity” community programme at Beluru, Bakong on June 28, at the Kampung Melayu community hall.
The programme is expected to kick off from 9am to 5pm with sessions on recognising types of information resources, types of reliable resources and steps to download the mobile application “Sarawak Pay”.
A total of 600 people are expected to take part in this event.
The PANDei (People Accessible Network for Digital Empowerment and Inclusivity) workshop is to ensure that everyone in the state is equipped with digital literacy skills for future preparation besides educating and raising awareness of the importance of knowledge and information.
This workshop will expose the participants to digital and media literacy programmes at a community level.
Through the information literacy classes, the participants shall acquire the ability to recognise when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and effective use the information.
