KAPIT: A total of 61 participants representing 26 associations and local clubs from Kapit, Song and Kanowit attended a briefing conducted by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) that covered various aspects include accounting and record of meeting minutes.
The one-day briefing was held at Dewan Masyarakat Melayu, KampungMuhibah, Jalan Bletih here recently.
Topics covered included ‘registration/management of association by registrar official Lena Buntal, ‘Pematuhan’ by another official PhangJoon Nam and ‘Tatacara Permohonan Lesen PungutanAwam –Permohonan Untuk Kebenaran Mengutip Derma’ by chief clerk of Kapit Resident’s Office Donny Yang.
The briefing, among others, was to establish closer rapport between the various local clubs and associations with ROS while at the same time to provide guidelines and guidance to the various NGOs and local clubs on the proper maintenance of account and records of their activities.
After the briefing the participants were given certificate of attendance presented by Phang Joon Nam.
