KUCHING: Two new clusters have emerged in Sarawak today.

The Sungai Long Seripa Cluster in Sebauh involves a longhouse under enhanced movement control order (EMCO).

“Of the 108 individuals screened, 40, including the index case, tested positive, while 68 others are still waiting for results.

“The infected were referred to the Bintulu Hospital and admitted to the Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) for isolation and further treatment,” the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said.

Meanwhile, the Lunyim Cluster in Telang Usan involves two villages under EMCO, namely Kampung Long Lunyim and Long Tepen.

“Of the 63 people who were screened, 21, including the index case, were positive while 25 were negative, and 17 others still waiting for results.

“The positive cases were referred to Miri Hospital and admitted to the PKRC for isolation and further treatment.”

Meanwhile, SDMC declared the end of three clusters in Kuching — Kampung Boyan Cluster, Kenyalang Park Cluster and Akademi Samariang Cluster, after zero cases were reported in the last 28 days.
